Hello!

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with 20 years of professional experience. I work closely with wonderful people like you, who lead very busy lives -- whether due to a highly stressful job or just being a parent trying to do it all. Many of my clients are challenged by anxiety and symptoms of depression and sometimes feel overwhelmed balancing work and life; others are experiencing a significant life transition -- the end of a relationship, a stressful life event, or a relocation. I also work closely with individuals who feel burned out in demanding industries, including healthcare, legal, technology, and education. I am known as the therapist to the therapists — the well-being of healthcare providers is essential to me.

Overall, my clients are motivated individuals who want much more out of life. They want to work on the challenges that keep them from feeling confident, in control, and emotionally connected to friends and family. I help them make sense of the past, find joy and meaning in the present, and think big for the future.

My Therapy Style

My clients experience me as down-to-earth, welcoming, empowering, highly empathic but straightforward, and enthusiastic about the change I know my clients will experience. My relationship with my clients is collaborative and I help you process past experiences, challenge negative thoughts, improve your outlook in life, and learn coping skills that will serve you beyond our therapy sessions.

Professional Experience

For the past 15 years, I have had a successful private practice. Before that, I held a faculty appointment at the New York University School of Medicine, where I led a research program at an NIH-funded research center. Until recently, I served as Director at the Prisma Health Addiction Research Center, where I now serve as a consultant on several research projects.

In 2020, I launched Lumin — an innovative therapy group practice — to address our current mental health crisis and redefine the therapy experience. My entrepreneurial spirit has led me to pioneer partnerships with today's leading technology companies and universities, including Google, Twitter, Columbia, and Harvard University — collaborating on initiatives to help women accelerate their careers and achieve personal well-being. In Greenville, I completed Leadership Greenville (Class 45!) and earned an MBA from Clemson University.

My Specialty Areas & Expertise

Psychotherapy Treatment: I work with individuals who are challenged by anxiety, depression, life transitions, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, career-related distress, burnout, workaholism, and unresolved childhood trauma.

Positive Psychology: I practice strength-based therapy to promote personal growth and self-actualization. Beyond improving my clients' mental wellbeing, I work with them to help them find joy, meaning and purpose — for a more fulfilled life.
